Biography
Alexander Lang grew up in Virginia and attended Rice University on a NCAA swimming scholarship, Oxford University and Princeton Theological Seminary. A former PC(USA) pastor, Alex worked in church ministry for 20 years leading a 1000-member church comprised of people from all over the Chicagoland area.
Since leaving the church, Alex has focused on building ProSocial, a business designed to create intentional community in an increasingly disconnected world. ProSocial was born out of a realization that, with the decline of religious institutions and service organizations (e.g. Lions Club, Kiwanis International, Rotary International, etc.) and the rise of social media, opportunities for quality real-world connection is becoming a rare commodity.
Alex is the author of the forthcoming book The Happiness Wheel, which is the conceptual tool that drives the content for ProSocial Circle gatherings. Alex draws on his years of experience leading organizations and creating successful small groups from youth to adults. He excels at gathering groups of people from diverse backgrounds to create real, meaningful community.
